Last week I was nominated for the Liebster Award by the beautiful Victoria from Training For Chocolate (THANK YOU). Award? Yay! I mean, who doesn’t like awards? It’s only a minor detail that I had never heard of the Liebster Award before.. So I got to researching:
The Liebster Award is an award by bloggers, for bloggers. It’s passed from person to person to encourage connection and support within our writing community and to help you find new and upcoming blogs that might interest you. Basically, it’s like an encouraging pat on the back to let you know you’re doing a great job. Awww..
There are a couple of rules, but everything’s super straight forward. Someone nominates you (in my case Victoria), which means you must answers the 10 questions that person came up with, you yourself then have to nominate eight other small/new blogs that you like and come up with another set of 10 questions for them to answer.
Let’s begin with the Q&A, shall we?
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Ben & Jerrie’s cookie dough ice cream. It used to be/is my go-to comfort food when I am craving something naughty. I know I know, it’s not “clean” what so ever, but I haven’t been able to cut it out completely.
The song most likely to get you up on the dance floor at a wedding?
Believe it or not, I’ve actually never been to a wedding (unless you count that time I was five years old and was supposed to be the ring bearer, but managed to drop the rings right before the ceremony and we ended up looking for them for 30 minutes..) I would venture to guess that it’s ‘I”m a bitch’ from Alanis Morissette, though I doubt someone would ever play that song at their wedding..
How would your bestie describe you?
Clumsy! I always drop things, loose things, hit my knees on tables..The list goes on… #blondiemoments
What’s your favourite type of training/workout?
Anything where I break out a sweat (spinning, Kayla’s BBG workout, boxing or a high-rep weight lifting session). I think there’s nothing more satisfying than sweating it all out and being completely dead after a workout. I don’t understand those girls that spend an hour on the treadmill with their hair and make up perfectly intact whilst watching a TV series and not being exhausted one bit. Seems so boring to me!
Wine or beer?
Even though I am originally from Munich and inherently would have to say beer, I am more of a wine girl (#sorrybavaria). I currently study Hospitality Management and some of our classes include wine tastings and wine oenology, aka the science and study of all aspects of wine and wine making, so it’s almost impossible for me to not appreciate a good glass of wine. That being said, I barely ever drink these days.
What talent would you most like to possess?
Being able to teleport myself from one place to the other. With moving around every 2-3 years and having friends and family all over the place, this talent would definitely come handy.
Where’s the most interesting place you’ve visited and why?
Dubai; I lived there for two years and it was definitely an experience in it’s own. It’s just insane what they have done there in the last 2o years with all the crazy construction, artificial islands and funky building designs. As interesting as it is, I don’t agree with many of the things they do from an environmental perspective and think it’s just upright crazy.
What makes you cry (it can be with laughter)?
Any yet so slightly emotional movie scene. Yep, that’s right.
Who’s your style icon?
Olivia Palermo! I love her savy mix of designer investments and high-street finds and how she mixes textures and patterns.
What do you want to do when you grow up?
Uhhh such a tuff question, considering I am done with uni in three weeks and will be job and homeless from that point on. Can I just move to Bali with my boyfriend and open a vegan restaurant? Yep, I think that’s what I want to do in life 🙂

Sailing Through Fitness – Ok, I’m a bit bias here. I know Victoria in person as she goes to my uni & she is my #workoutbuddy and #cleaneatingpartner. But she rocks nevertheless and just recently started her own food and fitness blog (you’ll hear more from her in my next #healthspotalk series).
L.Alexandra – Again some bias here. Laura is an old friend of mine from Dubai and every time we meet up it’s all about creating new blog posts together, spending hours in the kitchen testing new recipes or doing yoga together.
Fanny The Foodie – Fanny is another #swissfoodie member who loves yoga, the sun and inventing new recipes. I love her gloomy photography style and her recipes are always spot on.
Busy Bod – Lawyer by day, yogini by life. I discovered Kim’s blog through a post on The Balanced Blonde and her story instantly designated with my own personal path. If you have/are struggling with an ED or self confidence issues, her positive state of mind will most certainly help you.
Nutrition Healthy Life – An Aussie living in Switzerland. Can we swap, I’ll go to Australia for you? 🙂
Just Be You Be Beautiful – It’s thanks to Paola that I have finally decided to enrol with IIN to become a certified health coach. She herself is a holistic health coach, certified workshop leader and EFT practitioner and I would give myself into her care any second.
Lila Chop – Another ED – survivor that is all about weight lifting and protein smoothies now. Plus she has the cutest dog.
Sofia Clara – Even though Sofia’s blog isn’t primarily about clean eating & fitness, I do still love her recipes and restaurant/travel tips. Oh, and you must try her pink basil lemonade!
