Vegan Lemon Coconut Cheesecake With Nutmeg

Vegan Lemon Coconut Cheesecake With Nutmeg

Holy Mother. Why haven’t I done this before?

I'm talking about this delicious raw cheesecake. I've done raw cakes before, but never have they tasted anything like this. One bite of this vegan cheesecake and you'll never look at cheesecake the same way again. It's made with all natural ingredients, requires no baking and the citrus flavour makes it the ideal cooling dessert for warm weather days. Trust me, wether you're vegan or not, you will fall in love with this cake. In fact, if there is one dish I would have to make for someone to prove to them vegan food isn't boring, it would be this recipe.

Holiday Updates 2: Maldives

Holiday Updates 2: Maldives

There are so many truly precious moments that we need to embrace and cherish. One of them is being surrounded by our family and closest friends, experiencing things together, laughing together and traveling together. As I told you in Holiday Updates: Maldives, I recently graduated from uni and have been traveling since. As a final holiday with my best friends, we went to the Maldives together before we all parted ways. It was a beautiful last week and I'm so grateful for having spent such great time with them.

Holiday Updates: Maldives

Holiday Updates: Maldives

Hello everyone! If you follow me on Instagram, you will have noticed that a lot has happened in the last couple weeks. I graduated  with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitaly Management, went on grad trip to Ibiza, started my studies at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition to become a certified health coach and escaped to the beatiful Diamonds Thudufushi Resort in the Maldives with a bunch of my best friends before we all part our ways and start jobs in different parts of the world.

With all these things going on I have neglected this space a bit lately, so my sincere apologies for that. On top of it all, my laptop just crashed the other day, making it even harder for me to post here.

Healthspo Talk With Victoria Sardain

Healthspo Talk With Victoria Sardain

It's time for another #healthspotalk! I hope that you enjoy reading these inspirational interviews as much as I enjoy bringing them to you. This time I had the pleasure of interviewing my very dear friend Victoria Sardain from Sailing Through Fitness, a friend that I met through Instagram and discovered she actually goes to the same uni as me! Since then, we've been training together, going for hikes together, and we even ran our very first 20km together.

If you think I'm a dedicated health freak, think again. This girl is on another level. Having been raised by a vegan mom and vegetarian weight lifting dad, taking care of her body through food and exercise is practically second nature to her. She makes living a healthy lifestyle look so easy, hence her name "sailing" through fitness. For her, it's a breeze and a lifestyle she embraces to the fullest! Here goes #healthspotalk with Victoria Sardain.

Lessons From Recovery: Weights vs. Cardio

Lessons From Recovery: Weights vs. Cardio

s announced on one of my latest Instagram posts, I want to start a new  WholesomeStef series dubbed #lessonsfromrecovery. I see my eating disorder as a blessing in disguise because it has taught me so many valuable life lessons and has made me a better person. Yes, I want to talk about the struggle and the challenges, but I also want to look at the positive side of things and show how you can come out stronger on the other side. I initially just wanted to scribble down a couple of sentences on Insta, but I ended up having sooo many things to say that you are here on this post now.

Wholesome Travel Guide To Paris

Wholesome Travel Guide To Paris

Excited has to be the world's biggest understatement when it comes to my feelings about going to Paris. Which girl doesn't love the city? Paris is known for many things - romance, art, fashion, the Eiffel tower - but, until recently, the city of baguette and crepes in the land of cheese and wine hasn't earned much of a reputation as a healthy eating hotspot. Apparently, less than 2 % of the French identify themselves as vegetarian, compared with four times as many Brits and Germans. Over time, I have become used to receiving weird, confused, bewildered and annoyed faces when requesting a meal for specific dietary needs. Thanks to more and more healthy restaurants, cafΓ©s and juice bars popping up, the grass is starting to look a bit greener.

Ginger And Coriander Sweet Potatoes

Ginger And Coriander Sweet Potatoes

Over the holidays I've been rummaging through my iPhoto collection in the search of nice pictures for a scrapbook that I'm currently working on for me and my boyfriend. As I was going through the different folders I found a bunch of food pictures that have never seen the daylight because they were taken before I started this blog. Such as these shots of the Leon - inspired ginger and coriander sweet potato dish. It's not a secret that I'm a sweet potato fan. My favourite way of indulging in them is to make sweet potato fries, but I've ventured outside the box a little lately with a sweet potato dip, sweet potato patties and even sweet potato brownies Γ  la Deliciously Ella. But with this dish I'm bringing it back to the basics. Sweet potato, ginger and coriander. That's pretty much all you need. Clean eating doesn't have to be complicated and it doesn't always have to require exotic ingredients that you can only purchase in special health stores. Sometimes less is more.

Healthspo Talk With Marie Ferrari From Smoothies Addict

Healthspo Talk With Marie Ferrari From Smoothies Addict

#healthspotalk number 3 is featuring Marie Ferarri, the woman behind Smoothies Addict. I first met Marie while absolving my internship with Fit 'n' Tasty, the Swiss-based organic and cold-pressed detox company that I'm sure you have all seen me bombarding Instagram with. We were on the lookout for health bloggers in the Swiss scene and at this point Marie was just kicking off her own little business. A big advocate of green smoothies and superfoods, she decided to sell superfoods online (you might be surprised to known how hard it is to find superfoods in Switzerland) and launch her own blog on which she shares her knowledge and passion on healthy living. She also hosts weekly "Smoothie Workshops" in Geneva, which I have had the pleasure of attending. Here some shots (and click here for more information about the dates and location)

My Current Workout Routine & Latest Fitness Gear Obsession

My Current Workout Routine & Latest Fitness Gear Obsession

Hello lovelies! I apologize for the lack of posts, but my last year of uni is requiring a lot of my attention at the moment + I am starting my job application process (you don't by any chance know about job opportunities in Australia? :))  I just finished a major project and am now off for one week. So, what to do? Get back into a proper fitness routine and step up my game of course! Even though I try to work out no matter how stressed I am or how little time I have, I do stray away from my normal routine in times of stress. I'm still a huge emotional eater, so my diet suffers in the days/weeks leading up to a big deadline...But now that that's all done, Stef is back! I wanted to give you a quick overview of how my workout schedule looks like at the moment, and also show you my latest workout gear obsession (scroll down to the bottom of the page for an Active In Style promo code)

Healthy Green Falafel With Tahini Sauce

Healthy Green Falafel With Tahini Sauce

Having lived in Dubai for two years, I have a deep appreciation for Middle Eastern cuisine. Tabouleh, hummus, pita bread, baba ghannouj, you name it. I am obsessed with all of them. And falafel deserves a special spot in that list. As much as I love eating this dish in a restaurant, I have always found the idea of trying to replicate the creamy texture of falafel very daunting. I've struggled making hummus in the past, so this seemed even more impossible. Note: Before moving out of my parents house to go to university, my cooking skills were limited to making omelette and even today I don't really consider myself a good cook. I need to follow recipes on the dot, otherwise I freak out that the end result won't be good and I absolutely don't trust my taste buds when it comes to adding spices. Anyways...

Gosh, there are so many inspiring and passionate individuals that I want to interview for this #healthspotalk. I have some more in the pipeline already and can't wait to share them with you soon! In fact, I've been getting so much excitement from these collaborations that I haven't had much time for other type of posts. I do hope that you enjoy them as much as I do and that you are equally inspired by Elle, Jesse and Co.

Healthspo Talk With Jess Moses

Healthspo Talk With Jess Moses

Remember the time I went to Phuket? Well, while I was researching for healthy cafΓ©'s and food alternatives on the island, I stumbled across Jess Moses Instagram account and was immediately mesmerised. Originally from London, the 22 year old has fled the home nest and is currently  was discovering the healthy wonders of Phuket where she was working at Phuket Cleanse, a fully raw/vegan detox retreat.  Back home she is not a fully raw vegan, but for her stay at the resort she was immersing herself into the lifestyle and documenting her journey through beautiful pictures. Unfortunately I didn't get the chance to pop by the retreat and get to know this beautiful soul in person, but at least I got to pick her brain in this latest #healthspotalk. Shall we start?
